What Do I Need To Bring To Training?

Every training session you should be on poolside 10 minutes prior to your session starting.

Your swim kit should include swim suit/trunks (not bikinis or shorts), goggles plus a spare pair, swimming cap, towel and finally and very importantly a water bottle. Just as you sweat when exercising during land based sports the same happens in the water. It is therefore very important to drink plenty whilst swimming to avoid dehydration. Water, squash or isotonic liquids are recommended, NO FIZZY DRINKS. Glass bottles are not permitted.

For Junior Elite, Youth, Youth Feeder and Development Squads your kit should also include a *kick float and *pull buoy, and as you progress through the squads, flippers and hand paddles. (* These are available to buy through the club.)

N.B. Junior Elite and Youth Squad Land Training for over 12's only

Health and Safety

Health and Safety is the responsibility of everyone. Swimmers must not leave the pool without the Coach’s permission as they are responsible for your safety and well being during the session. The coach must account for all swimmers during the training session. Be courteous to your team-mates and give each other the space to train whilst swimming in lanes.

Hygiene

Please ensure that all outdoor shoes are removed before entering the poolside. Swimmers are encouraged to wear appropriate foot wear on the poolside. Shoe cover dispensers are situated at the shower area.
